Maps are so much of a necessity nowadays. So having a GPS map updated in your phone is crucial. Here is how you can access free GPS map update support.

Garmin GPS:

 
It is essential to have a Garmin 2595lmt update.  For this create an account first:

1. Go to http://my.garmin.com.

2. Click Create a new account.

3. Enter the required information.

4. Click the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, and read the agreements.

5. Choose the Agree Terms and condition check box, and click Next.

6. Choose the check box next to every kind of communication to which you desire to subscribe.

7. Click the Subscribe button, or click does not subscribe as per your requirement.

Steps to update Garmin GPS:

1. We take a memory card SD, or MicroSD according to the necessary format for our device and we format it in FAT32. 

2. For example, I am going to use a topographic map, specifically Topo Hispania 2.04. We can download it from the official website, in which you have to register, or if you prefer, in this link.  Download map Topo Hispania 2.04.

3. As I suppose you have downloaded from the link, you will have downloaded a file called «mapa.zip.»

4. We unzip this «map.zip» in a folder. A file called "gmapsupp. img" should appear

5. We access our memory card and create a new folder called "Garmin."

6. We copy the file «gmapsupp. img» into the «Garmin» folder.

7. We safely disconnect the card and click on the GPS and turn it on.

8. Now, within the GPS options, we will select the new map that we have incorporated. To do this, normally in the main menu we go to <Utilities><Configuration> <Map> <Information> and leave only the Topo Hispania map checked. Each GPS model has a different menu to get to the option of choosing the map, so if you are not quite sure how to do it, consult the user manual.
